Conference season in the investment industry is nearing its end, but this week saw Value Invest New York, a key event for value investors. Among the presenters was David Samra of Artisan Partners, who believes investing outside the U.S. is not only “terrific” and “fun” but also lends itself to value investing. Quoting one of the most famous value investors of all time, Samra said the recently passed Charlie Munger is exceptionally patient, preferring to hold his capital until he had access to tremendous opportunities.
