The fintech vertical is well-known to be backed by billions of venture capital dollars, and private equity investors seem similarly eager to buy in. According to the PitchBook Platform, PE investors last year closed a decade-high 95 deals involving fintech companies, which utilize technology to improve the financial services market. What’s more, the 2015 deal tally marks a 79% jump from the 53 fintech deals PE firms closed three years earlier.
