Sohn Hong Kong 2024: James Smith of Palliser Capital Calls for Rio Tinto to End its DLC Structure

Sohn Hong Kong 2024 is in the books, and it brought some really interesting investing ideas from some of the best hedge-fund managers, not just for Asia but around the world. James Smith of Palliser Capital pitched his bull case for Rio Tinto PLC.

Palliser Capital is a London-based multi-strategy fund with equity and debt positions across global markets. The fund launched in 2021 and manages about $1 billion in asset under management. Smith was formerly the head of Elliott Management's Hong Kong division.
