Below are the notes of Chris James of Partner Fund Management.
Thematic Growth and Global Long Alpha Strategies Mr. James is PFM’s Chief Investment Officer and Co-managing Partner. Previously, Mr. James was the Co-Founder of Andor Capital Management (2001-2004) where he was initially the Co-Portfolio Manager of the technology funds, and later the Portfolio Manager of the Andor Diversified Growth Fund. Prior to Andor’s inception, Mr. James was a Managing Director at Pequot Capital (1996-2001), as well as a member of Peqout’s Management Committee. Before joining Pequot, Mr. James was an Analyst/Portfolio Manager at Moore Capital (1995-1996). Prior to Pequot, Mr. James was an Analyst at Ethos Capital (1992-1995) before it was sold to Moore Capital in 1995. Mr. James’ employment commenced at JGM Management (1991-1992). Mr. James graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Tulane University and he now serves on its Board of Trustees. Mr. James is the Chair of the Board of Directors for Tipping Point Community, an organization that fights poverty in the Bay Area. Mr. James serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive Committee for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Mr. James is the Director of the James Family Foundation which was founded in 1995 and is focused on poverty relief, conservation and education.
