In an interview at the end of June with Chinese publication Weekly on Stocks, the value investor Mohnish Pabrai opened up about some of his current and past investments, giving investors valuable insight into how he goes about valuing a business and the criteria the position must meet before he decides to take profits.

Pabrai on Kweichow Moutai

One of Pabrai’s most successful investments in recent years was the Chinese spirits company Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. The biggest alcoholic beverage company in the world, Moutai, is probably an alien business to most US investors. But Moutai is China's most popular alcoholic drink, and the company virtually controls the market in the country.
