Investors Are Unloading Industrial And Tech Stocks

The equity markets have remained strong since the beginning of the year, but every so often, we catch a glimpse that this could soon change. Major stock indices like the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average have been advancing steadily, but it sounds like investors may finally be starting to rotate out of tech stocks and cyclical names.

Selling stocks

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Strategist Jill Carey Hall and team released their latest "Equity Client Flow Trends" report on Wednesday, and they report signs of "broad-based selling." Their firm's clients were net sellers of U.S. equities last week at $1.2 billion, marking a reversal from the last two weeks when their clients bought U.S. equities.
