Google, Facebook and Twitter are at the center of a societal debate that could shape political discourse in the US – and around the world – for decades to come. Executives from the Google, Facebook and Twitter will be hauled into Washington DC this October to ostensibly explain themselves over (the non-ending story of) "Russian election meddling". But the tech giants are on the hot seat for much more.
