Kase Fund, the hedge fund managed by Whitney Tilson, rose 7.4% during October, compared to a gain of 8.4% for the S&P 500. Year-to-date the fund is down 4.2% compared to a gain of 2.7% for the S&P 500, according to the fund’s October letter to investors and reviewed by ValueWalk. Kase Fund entered the fourth quarter down more than 10%, so October’s strong performance has helped Whitney Tilson claw back some of the losses Kase Fund has racked up this year.
