In 2020 a new force emerged in the global venture capital market. Tiger Global, managed by the Tiger Cub Chase Coleman, became one of the most prolific venture capital investors during the pandemic, building on the experience it had learned over the previous decade.
The hedge fund, which is best known for its decision to invest in the Chinese technology sector years before anyone else, saw its assets under management jump to $100 billion off the back of the rising value of tech stocks in the public markets and frenzied activity in private markets.
