Many well-known asset managers donate millions of dollars to charity every year, and some do so through their own foundations. Ray Dalio of Bridgewater is one of those who give regularly through their own foundations, and we can get an idea of which fund managers he trusts the most by looking at where his foundation invests its money.

According to the 990 for its 2021 fiscal year, which was filed in November 2022, the Dalio Foundation had over $1.5 billion worth of assets at the end of the year. Ray Dalio and his wife Barbara donated about $23,000 to the Dalio Foundation in 2021, although the foundation's largest contributor by far that year was listed as the Marino Family Trust.
