However, before the investor joined Buffett at Berkshire, he had a long and busy career that spanned several industries, including real estate, law and investment management.

In the late 1950s, Munger, following in Buffett’s footsteps, set up an investment partnership with his business partner, Jack Wheeler.

After making a small fortune doing real estate developments with another business partner, Otis Booth, Munger had the capital to invest. His law firm was also bringing in a steady stream of income.
