Elizabeth Holmes had dreams as a young girl, an interview with the embattled medical executive revealed. Unlike most young boys and girls, who might dream of athletic accomplishment or just play around the neighborhood, Holmes dreams centered on revolutionizing the blood testing world, NBC’s Maria Shriver reported Monday. But those dreams — and the promise of delivering a needed breakthrough blood testing service that dramatically lowered prices – became even more complicated Tuesday when a reported Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into the politically active drug testing company was revealed.
