The much awaited “D” in the Tesla “D” announcement planned for this Thursday could involve two initiatives, not one, says a new research report from Barclays.
Anticipation for Tesla's product announcement
Basing its analysis on previously announced Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) product plans, Barclays predicts the much anticipated Tesla announcement will center around two “Ds”: driver assistance systems and a dual motor Model S that will provide all-wheel drive capability.
Tesla founder Elon Musk has already noted he plans to bring semi-autonomous driving capability to market by 2016, so announcing such an initiative into automated driver assistance should not be a surprise.
