Update on the PE market

According to Preqin, aggregate global private equity buyout activity fell 6.9% year over year to $437.6 billion last year. The number of deals declined 4.3% to 5,651. However, large-cap and upper mid-cap investments with a transaction value greater than $1 billion still dominated the buyout activity, accounting for 62.6% of the deal value from last year.
