After mismanaging nearly $40 million in investor money and $21 million in bank assets, committing fraud that fueled Montgomery Bank & Trust’s collapse, former Georgia-based investment advisor Aubrey Lee Price was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Investment Adviser Aubrey Lee Price faked his death to escape with client’s money
The plea deal with prosecutors comes after Price, 48, was at one point declared dead in a fake suicide bid used to mask his getaway with client account money. Shortly after fleeing with the cash, investigators believe price took to self medicating himself with a cornucopia of drugs, some of which could have been self-grown in his marijuana farming business.
