After losing a staggering 49.5% for his investors last year, vocal hedge fund manager Crispin Odey must have been hoping for a good start to the New Year. According to HSBC’s hedge fund report for the week ending February 10th, that’s exactly what he got.

For the year to 3 February 2017, Odey’s €340 million Odey European fund was up 3.48% making it one of the best performing diversified equity funds in Europe.
