2015 Fortune 500 Is Business As Usual – But Worth Looking At Anyway

Netflix, Salesforce and Expedia made their debuts on the 2015 Fortune 500, while Coach and Bemis were among those dropped. Wal-Mart topped the list for the third consecutive year, and the same companies maintained the first five spots for the second year in a row. Not exactly the biggest of surprises, but worth watching nonetheless.

The Fortune 500 ranks by total revenues companies incorporated and operating in the United States. Both private and public entities are included.

The 2015 Fortune 500 marks the 61st running of the list. This year’s companies account for $12.5 trillion in revenues, $945 billion in profits and $17 trillion in market value. They employ 26.8 million people around the globe.
