According to analysts at HSBC, Europe has reached a fork in the road.
The EU now faces a choice. If countries are politically not able to tackle the root causes of the economic problems that are leading to political discontent, then the EU will have to be either reformed or the Union’s citizens will have to be bribed through fiscal handouts, funded by never-ending QE.
