Paul Singer and Elliott Management Corp. are famous for hunting down assets of debtors who won’t acknowledge their debts. This includes the government of Argentina, a case for which Singer and his team employed a team of armed agents to seize an Argentine naval vessel as collateral on a loan debt as well as attempt to re-possess the Argentine President’s official aircraft as it was refueling – while a horrified President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was seated inside.
Now Singer and Elliott have a new quarrel on their hands, this time with the law firm at the center of the Panama Papers scandal.
