Crispin Odey, who is considered to be one of the best-known and most high profile hedge fund managers in the UK, announced earlier this week that he would step down from the role of co-chief executive at the hedge fund group he founded in 1991.

Odey has decided to step back from running Odey Asset Management in order to focus on managing his own funds. Co-CEO Timothy Pearey, who has worked alongside the founder for the past five years, will remain the sole chief executive.
