Apple CEO Tim Cook outlined the future yesterday, a script that has been the topic of fascinating intellectual musings but a picture that is painted primarily with positive visions. Cook was in Dublin, Ireland speaking to a group of college students when he foretold the future of monitored and trackable money. “Your kids will not know what money is,” he was reported to have quipped to students at Trinity College Dublin. In making statements on what increasingly appears a logical direction, Cook was at the same time expressing opinions counter that of the U.S. security establishment when he addressed digital security and avoided the privacy issue.
