The SEC’s fee crackdown continues. As Blackstone Group LP is subject to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission review of certain fee practices of investment managers, the move by the regulatory agency shouldn’t come as a surprise. As Valuewalk first reported nearly two years ago, the SEC is in the midst of a fee crackdown and Blackstone is just the current participant under the microscope of an increasingly intense regulatory glare.
