There has been a lot of talk from mostly well connected insiders that Bitcoin and more specifically its blockchain technology was going to rule the future in financial services. To understand blockchain’s stunning allure, consider consummate big bank player Blythe Masters. When offered a plum position at Barclays Bank, she declined and instead stayed with her blockchain start-up Digital Asset Holdings. It is with this as a backdrop that the SEC’s expected announcement tonight to allow stock issuance via Bitcoin’s blockchain technology, reported today, that benchmarks another point in growth and industry disruption, pointing to a digital future.
