Investor activism, which has already reached new heights, is expected to grow even further, say 98 percent of U.S. investors, according to a new study.
Majority of activist investors to come from hedge funds
The majority of this growth is going to come from hedge funds, say 60 percent of respondents, while 24 percent see the growth coming from an odd location, union funds. Employees and unions are often most squeezed as activist investors typically seek corporate cost reductions.
