Sabrepoint Capital returned 5.75% net for the third quarter, bringing its year-to-date return to 12.27% following returns of 0.75%, 2.29% and 2.91% for July, August and September, respectively. The S&P 500 was up 15.92% for the quarter.

Sabrepoint's long positions returned 20.44% gross year to date, while its shorts are down 2.61% for the first nine months. Of note, the third quarter was better for the fund's shorts, which returned 4%, 1.04% and 2.22% for July, August and September, respectively.
