SVN Capital: Down 23.7% In 2022, Taking Lessons From A 93-Year-Old Investor

Shreekkanth (“Shree”) Viswanathan's SVN Capital added 5.1% in the second half of 2022, but this positive performance failed to make up for the losses incurred during the first half of the year, and SVN ended the year down 23.7% overall.

In his letter to investors, a copy of which ValueWalk has been able to review, Viswanathan explained that while the portfolio did underperform the market in 2022, the performance of its underlying companies continued to improve, and their "immediate futures look bright."

The two highest conviction names in the portfolio, Evolution AB and KKR & Co Inc., together weighing in at around 25% of assets, each detracted 4% from the overall performance.
