Odey’s Brook Absolute Return Fund Adds 10.7% In 2022 As Shorts Surge

The LF Brook Absolute Return Fund returned 21.6% in the fourth quarter of 2022 and net 10.7% for the year as a whole, according to a copy of the fund’s fourth-quarter update, which Hedge Fund Alpha has been able to review.

Its benchmark, the MSCI Daily TR Net World Index, added 1.9% in the fourth quarter and -7.8% for the year overall.

Managed by James Hanbury & Jamie Grimston, the Brook Absolute Return Fund is one of a number of former Odey Asset Management funds that were rebranded and consolidated under the Brook Asset Management name in 2021.
