Exclusive: Maverick Capital had a strong 2020 despite conservative positioning

Maverick Fund USA had a strong fourth quarter, although the environment for shorting stocks was challenging. The fund was up 7.2% for the fourth quarter, bringing its full-year return to 15.8% for 2020. Maverick Levered Fund was up 14.7% for the fourth quarter and 27.8% for 2020, while Maverick Long Enhanced Fund was up 23.7% for the quarter and 30.3% for the year.
