Despite Mobileye NV (MBLY) Crash, Lone Pine Has Strong 2015

Steve Mandel's hedge fund Lone Pine Capital is betting on internet-driven investments, oil and the growth of the emerging-market consumer as we head into 2016, according to the fund’s fourth quarter and full-year 2015 letter to investors, as reviewed by ValueWalk.

All but one of Lone Pine's fund's managed to post a positive performance for the fourth quarter and full-year 2015. Lone Cypress gained 4.6% net in Q4 and has gained 8.7% net year-to-date. The Lone Kauri, Lone Cascade, and Lone Tamarack funds gained 4.4%, 1.4% and 3.6% net respectively during the fourth quarter, making back the majority of the losses sustained during Q3.
