Liberty Park Capital Up 8.1% With Market-Neutral Strategy; Shorting These Cyclical Stocks

Charles Murphy's Liberty Park Capital added 2.7% in August compared to a return of 2.2% for the Russell 2000. The long/short equity fund had an average net long exposure of 30.5% during the month and 20.2% year-to-date.

Q2 2021 hedge fund letters, conferences and more

For the year to the end of August, the fund returned 8.1% net.

According to a copy of the firm's August update, which ValueWalk has been able to review, the fund has returned 7.7% annualized since inception (Feburary 2011) with an average net long exposure of 16.4%.
