Lancaster Absolute Return Fund was a part of Odey Asset Management until June 2023. After the sexual allegation scandal, the fund managers James Hanbury, and Jamie Grimstone parted ways with the old management and found their place in Lancaster Investment Management.

In the letter from the last quarter, the fund reported a slightly underachieving 1.4% gain. Their larger portfolio holdings were struggling to make significant gains, for which managers pinned the blame on market noise regarding their portfolio holdings.

In the second quarter report that was acquired by Hedge Fund Alpha, managers show more optimism. The fund reported 7.1% quarterly gains, while YTD gains reached 8.5%. Long equity book generated an 8.62% gain, while short book ended the same period...
