Found in 1992, Highbridge Capital Management made a name for itself in the credit and private equity markets before being brought out in 2004 by JP Morgan when it managed hedge funds activities solely.
JP Morgan managed the firm until May 2016 when the company was bought out once again, this time by its management team led by the CEO Scott Kapnick.

As of March 2018, the firm had $45 billion of assets under management spread across public and private credit strategies.
