The ExodusPoint Partners International Fund, the hedge fund founded by Michael Gelband in 2017, added 1.1% in September, bringing its year-to-date return to 4.47%.

In its September update, a copy of which ValueWalk has been able to review, the fund notes that equity markets fell in September with the MSCI World, S&P 500 and EuroStoxx 50 the ending the month down 4.3%, 4.8% and 3.5%, respectively.

The one outlier was the Nikkei, which gained 4.9% as the prospect of a new prime minister drove investor optimism. Against this backdrop, equity volatility rose by 40.4%, and the VIX ended September at 23.1.
