Electron Won In 2022 With A Focus On The Transition To Green Energy [Exclusive]

The Electron Global Fund was up 3.3% for the fourth quarter, bringing its full-year return to 8.5% for 2022. The firm's three-year annualized return is 19.1%, and its annualized return since inception stands at 11.2%. Electron Capital had about $2.6 billion in assets under management at the end of 2022.

In comparison, the MSCI ACWI was up 9.4% for the fourth quarter. Despite that robust gain, the index fell 19.8% for 2022. Its three-year annualized return is 2.3%, and its annualized return since Electron's inception is 4.6%.

The MSCI World Utilities Index gained 10.5% for the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to pull the index out of the red, as it fell 7% for 2022. The S&P 500 gained 7.1% for...
