Einhorn’s Greenlight Masters fund of funds struggled in Q3

David Einhorn's Greenlight Masters fund of funds was down 3.3% for the third quarter, following declines of 1.1% and 2.4% for July and August, respectively, and a gain of 0.1% for September. Year to date, Masters QP is up 8%, while Masters LP is up 8.2%. Masters Offshore is up 8% for the first nine months of the year.

Screenshot 118As of the end of September, Greenlight Masters QP was 112% long and -56% short, while LP was 113% long and -57% short. The Offshore fund was 116% long and -59% short. net exposures for the three funds were 55%, 56% and 57%, respectively.
