Despite Short Bets, Moab Capital Partners Hit In October On Semiconductor Weakness

Moab Capital Partners, the event-driven, value-oriented hedge fund managed by Michael M. Rothenberg lost 4.42% during October after deducting fees, outperforming the broader market. In comparison, during October the S&P 500 declined 6.8%, and the Russell 2000 slumped 10.9%.

Event-driven long positions detracted 6.52% while event-driven shorts and hedges produced a positive return of 2.1%.
