Chilton Capital Management Focuses On Quality As Value REITs Surge

Chilton Capital Management's flagship Chilton REIT strategy returned 0.4% gross for the year to the end of February, underperforming its benchmark, the MSCI US REIT Index, which returned 4.2%.

Q4 2020 hedge fund letters, conferences and more

Since its inception in January 2005, the strategy has returned 9.8% per annum gross, compared to 7% for its benchmark.

According to the firm's March 2021 REIT Outlook, it believes it has under recently due to the recent performance between the "Covid" and "Vaccine' REITs".

Chilton's Covid REITs are firms in Cell Towers, Data Centers, and Industrial sectors. While the Vaccine REITs are the recovery plays, namely Regional Malls, Shopping Centers, and Offices.
