KKR backed hedge fund tells clients: Volatility in the energy market presents opportunity

The energy market has been in turmoil under the double shocks involving both supply and demand. However, one energy-focused hedge fund sees plenty of opportunity in the market, which they say is similar to what they observed in 2016.

Worst-case scenario for oil prices

In his daily update, Edward Moya of OANDA said the worst-case scenario for oil seems to be coming true. Global economies are paralyzed by the coronavirus, and there's no way to know how much worse things will get. He said investors should "start pricing a complete collapse in crude demand for much of the world."
