Acacia Capital Q3 Letter: Bets On A Few Big Positions In US, UK And Brazil

The third quarter was another difficult one for many hedge funds, but value investors generally seem to be hoping that the volatility we've seen this month is here to stay for a while. Acacia Capital Partners is no exception. The fund lost 0.55% during the third quarter, compared to the S&P 500's 7.71% gain and the MSCI World's 4.98% gain. Year to date, Acacia is in the red with a -3.81% return, compared to the S&P's year-to-date gain of 10.56% and the MSCI World's 5.43% gain.
