The SVM UK Opportunities strategy produced a return of 8.6% during 2016 taking inception to date returns to 494%. Annualized returns since initiating the l/s are 13.5%. The strategy added 30.3% during 2010 and has only reported two down years since the crisis. What’s really impressive about the strategy is that the vast majority of its top 10 holdings are UK blue chips, which tend to be slow and steady ex-growth dependable income stocks. Around 14% of the strategy is allocated to two high-growth mid-caps, RPC Group and Micro Focus, which have produced the majority of the returns.
