Masayoshi Son, the founder and chief executive officer of tech/finance conglomerate Softbank, splits opinions.

On the one hand, some investors and analysts believe that his strategy of throwing billions of dollars at fast-growing tech startups is a risky strategy, which may end up in failure.

On the other hand, others believe that he is one of the greatest capital allocators of all time having turned Softbank from nothing into one of the worlds most prominent investment businesses.
