Share Buybacks - a way to profit? Buyback announcements are associated with notable stock outperformance, and a strategy of going long stocks that have already announced buybacks with a regularly rebalancing can accumulate significant outperformance. That’s according to a new research note from Deutsche Bank, which looks at the alpha available by following a buyback strategy.
