Macro Funds Outperform As Economic Uncertainty Grows

According to hedge fund data provider, Hedge Fund Research (HFR), macro hedge funds (including commodity hedge funds) posted record gains in March.

During the month the HFRI 500 Macro Index surged 6.25%, taking its first quarter return to more than 10%. The average hedge fund gained 1.48% last month, according to data provider Eurekahedge.
