Kyle Bass Explains His Best Idea For The Year

Since value investing is all about finding assets that that are mispriced by the rest of the market, it’s no surprise that when Hayman Capital Management founder Kyle Bass was asked for the thing the market most misunderstands and for his best investment idea for the year in a recent RealVision TV interview, it was really two sides of the same coin.

“The market’s misunderstanding European rates the most,” says Kyle Bass, who recommends shorting European bonds. “I think the European economy is actually turning and looking pretty good, albeit from a pretty low base. The people who are buying more and more bonds are going to be caught holding the bag a year from now.”
