Key Takeaways From Buffett 2022 Annual Letter

Warren Buffett published his 2022 letter to shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway last weekend.

The letter is notable for its length. It is one of the shortest in recent memory, with the Oracle of Omaha focusing on just a handful of key topics, including the benefits of long-term investing, share repurchases and having a good partner, in his case, Charlie Munger.

But it's also worth considering what's not included. Buffett did not comment on the performance of any of Berkshire's large holdings (including the operating businesses, BNSF, Berkshire Hathaway Energy and GEICO). Instead, he referred readers to the rest of the annual report's detailed financial information.
