Value investing is all about finding hidden gems in corners of the market where other investors are not looking. Sturgeon Capital takes this mentality one step further. In 2012, the firm launched the Sturgeon Central Asia Equities Fund, a Ucits hedge fund, designed with the goal of investing in equity securities of companies based in and around Central Asia, a region of the world where most other investors are afraid to tread.
After this trailblazing move, the firm also became one of the first investment managers to invest directly in Iran in 2015 when it launched its specialist Iran-focused fund.
