Every investment approach requires faith. If you’re buying a hot new IPO, you’re praying the company will find traction and grow to become a blue-chip behemoth. If you’re buying a rental property, you’re praying the tenants don’t trash the place and the air conditioner doesn’t conk out. If you’re buying 50-year Swiss government bonds at negative yields… I’m not sure what you’re praying for. In a moment, I’ll describe what value investors rest their faith on.
