“China should trade at a premium to other markets,” was a whisper gaining momentum in a recent CLSA Bits & Pieces report that came out before trade tensions between the US and China had been reduced Tuesday morning. Looking at a mean reversion thesis, CLSA has taken those stocks that have significantly underperformed the market over the last two years – a 76.7% spread between the top and bottom performers – and thinks it is time to find value in stocks that others have dis-guarded.
