Today, Benjamin Graham is widely credited with being the man who developed value investing into the investment strategy many thousands of investors around the world follow today.

He is also credited with being instrumental in the development of fundamental analysis. Before Graham, and his partner David Dodd's now legendary book on the topic of fundamental analysis, Security Analysis, stock market participants tended to ignore fundamental analysis when assessing securities. It was far more common to buy stocks based on recent market movements.
