After a fourth-quarter return of 3.3%, Hawk Ridge Capital returned 11.6% for 2023, coming up slightly short of its benchmark, the S&P 400, which gained 16.4%. However, 2023 marked Haw Ridge's 15th straight year of positive absolute returns and has now annualized at 12% net since its inception after only one down year in its 18-year history.
